We spent a relaxing Valentine's afternoon at the beach. I'm rediscovering the wonderful-ness of gouache for plein air art. I'm rather out of practice though...

Ski and Bay Trip

This past week I took a roadtrip with Logan up to Northern California. We stopped for two days in Squaw Valley on Tahoe Lake to do some snowboarding. Carrying an expensive SLR while hurtling down the mountainside is hazardous to both my camera's health as well as mine so there are only a handful of pictures from that part.

After that we headed East to spend a couple days in Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Jose. (Lots of S's!) I met up an old friend, James who took me on a tour of the Fisherman's Wharf and the ship he volunteers on, The Alma. I also had the opportunity to tour ILM with Jacob, a friend of Logan's from SCAD, and visited my friend Cara at Dreamworks PDI on the way back South. It was an amazing trip. I come back to LA feeling refreshed from the bay breeze.
